Production- Final stages

The aim for my music video was to keep it simple; the genre itself doesn’t suit over edited shots or transitions. Keep it sleek was the look that I wanted to achieve. I am very pleased with the outcome of my music video and it is almost finished. I have only lightly edited the footage as I think it was dramatic enough. The footage was originally in colour, I knew from creating my storyboard that I wanted the video too be in Black and white. I tinted all of the footage and was very pleased with the outcome; it really enhanced the use of the lighting. The black and white fits in well with the songs feel, the song is fairly depressing but it connotes the old vintage look that I wanted to create (film noir) the video is very much performance, I didn’t want there to be a narrative as I think the lyrics speak for themselves. I personally believe that my film didn’t need any split screens or transitions. There is enough shots to keep the audience interested.

I uploaded the final footage onto You Tube as it is the best place for people to see and respond to my music video. Any comments or responses will go towards my audience research as the video is public anybody can view it so I'm interested to view comments from people I don't know to see how they interpret the music video. It took nearly a hour and a half to upload and I'm not pleased with the quality of the video. As its such a high resolution on the Macs when scales down it doesn't look very impressive. I'm going to try and amend and see if I can covert the video to HD.
