Planning- The Pit

These are some photos of the Pit at SWCHS were I plan to film my music video taking photos has helped me to plan things better on my storyboard as I can see what the space is and can copy any shots I would like accurately onto my storyboard. It also allows me to be realistic with spacing and design the best floor plan I can for the Dancers.
I thought this would be a great angle to film the entrance of the dancers proceeding down the stairs to join the main singer (Bradley)
As the pit is on two levels it is great for filming.

The image on the right is what it looks like from the lower level
its shows how unique the room is. This is a great place to film the Dancers coming down the stairs and possibly and interesting shot of Bradley from lower floor height with the girls coming into the room behind him this would set the scene and allow the audience to understand the settings and see the dancers come in to the room. Rather then them just popping up out of no where. Obviously the chairs, speakers and frame that are in this picture wont be there as there is a black curtain that

This is the ceiling which I think is one the best features of the room is a really unique square with a square window and has the same abstract look as the room that Better in Love by the Hurts is filmed in. (The picture is bellow)

I want to record as much of the features of the room as possible and really use the space its a bonus that there are already black curtains to surround the lower level so I haven't got to worry about any random objects or posters in the backgrounds of my music video

This is a screen shot from the 'Better than love' music video but the Hurts as you can clearly see there is a structural likeness between the two rooms. The pit has a stairs down to a lower level as does the room in the Hurts video its unfortunate that the stairs are not as steep as the other video but its quite a likeness.
As is the bricked walls and the unique lighting. The Hurts video location may be a bit more rough and suited than mine but I was quite lucky to find two rooms quite as similar.
