This video is at Glastonbury 2011 it is a performance filmed by the BBC. The BBC use precise camera work to give the audience the ‘there’ experience. By enabling the audience to see such a variety of shots makes you as a viewer feel superior as you have a better view of the band, but are still on in the experience.
The establishing shot is an extreme high long angle shot that allows the viewing audience at home an insight to the scale and atmosphere at the festival. This shot is followed by low angles which give a dominant view of the band. The perspective is like the viewers are watching at a height they would be at if they were there themselves in the audience. The band are introduced independently the shots are stylized to the tempo of the music which makes the appearance of the footage more professional. The framing of the shots is significant Bono the lead singer gets a centre of the frame because he is the front man, and has more screen time.
